This Gamma Emerald FAQ answers seven questions with first-party wording: ROM-hack status, demo vs Early Access, official hosts, mobile, Megas, codes and Shedinja. Official hosts are the itch.io Early Access page and Game Jolt GammaEmeraldEA. The 2025 2025 showcase demo page is the wrong page. Will there be Megas? Official Q&A says no. No mobile builds. No mystery-gift codes. Shedinja has an official short. Later-chunk save migration has no first-party answer; keep a backup of 1.1.9 if you care about this file. Expand a question for the full first-party answer. The Shedinja still and short sit below the seven disclosures. Each answer is at least a short paragraph. Expand one at a time. The other six stay collapsed.
Is Gamma Emerald a ROM hack?
No. Official pages describe a standalone Unreal Engine 5 Windows game that does not use a ROM or emulator. The itch EA listing and the July 2026 Q&A both call it a rebuild, not a patch on a Pokémon Emerald dump. You extract a Windows zip or rar and run an executable. If a site tells you to load a .gba in an emulator, that is a different project.
Is the 2025 demo the Early Access build?
No. The developer posted that the demo page is a year-old unsupported showcase and the wrong version. The still-hosted files are itch Version 106 / Game Jolt 3.1.0. Current remake files are itch 1.1.9 and Game Jolt 0.3.0 from 15 August 2026. The warning post is titled THIS IS NOT THE EARLY ACCESS and says the demo will not be patched.
Where should I download it?
Official hosts named by the developer are the itch EA page and Game Jolt GammaEmeraldEA. Avoid APK mirrors. Steam, Google Play and Apple searches on 17 August 2026 returned no official listing. Use the launch checklist if you want the zip timestamps and the 1.4 GB / 1,465,508,722-byte sizes in one place.
Is there an Android or iOS version?
Official copy and July Q&A both say no mobile builds are planned. Memory already exceeds Android and iOS devices, which is the store-page reason. Any APK labeled Gamma Emerald is unofficial. The only official OS target is Windows 10/11 64-bit.
Are Mega Evolutions in the game?
Official Q&A says no, because they were not in Emerald and would contradict the story. That answer sits on the July 2026 EA Progress post, not on a leak. There is no first-party Mega stone list and no planned Mega flag in the stated post-Mauville work.
Are there mystery-gift codes?
No first-party redeem-code surface is published. itch, Game Jolt and official socials do not host a gift-code box. Competitor codes pages also state none are active. This FAQ will not invent weekly codes. If UndreamedPanic posts a code later, it will be on a first-party host, not here first.
Is Shedinja in Gamma Emerald?
The official channel published a How to get Shedinja short, so the method is first-party. Shedinja is an intended obtainable Pokémon in this remake. Watch that short for the sequence. This FAQ will not replace the video with a guessed Nincada level or a fan-made cave map.

What this FAQ will not invent
Save migration for later Hoenn chunks has no first-party answer. Keep a 1.1.9 backup if you care about this file when a post-Mauville build appears. Player-reported Rustboro softlocks, gym freezes, ultrawide and DualSense misses live on Known limits; they are not patch notes. Official known issues are slow async loads, battle hitching, no mobile, mixed-input UI clogs, and the save-often instruction. Open that page when you want the split. The seven disclosures above are the sealed FAQ set.
Official issues versus player reports stay split on Known limits. Official: slow ASYNC, battle hitching, no mobile, mixed input, save often. Player: Rustboro upstairs loop, gym freezes, ultrawide, DualSense, potion AI. This FAQ will not merge those lists. The seven questions above are the sealed set. There is no eighth official disclosure about later-chunk saves beyond the one natural sentence in the intro.
If you arrived here asking about later-chunk saves, the honest sentence is already in the intro: no first-party answer, keep a backup. That is not an eighth official Q&A. It is the coverage gap written in plain language.
