Gamma Emerald is a free Unreal Engine 5 Windows remake of Pokémon Emerald by solo developer UndreamedPanic — programmer, artist, musician, designer, 3D modeler and UI designer. It is not a ROM hack and takes no money. The current official build is Early Access 1.1.9, timestamped 15 August 2026 at 22:54 UTC on itch.io as gamma-emerald-ea-windows.zip (1.4 GB). Game Jolt published the same-day package as 0.3.0 windows.rar (1,465,508,722 bytes) under GammaEmeraldEA. Playable scope is the finished first third of Hoenn from Littleroot to Mauville City: three gyms, about 3–6 hours, roads beyond blocked. A still-hosted 2025 showcase demo on a separate itch page is a non-canon island story. On launch day the developer posted THIS IS NOT THE EARLY ACCESS: that demo is the wrong version and will not be patched. Header chips reprint 1.1.9 and Game Jolt 0.3.0 so you can see the current hosts before you scroll. The launch film below is the official Early Access OUT NOW upload (WzZOoL1IHAU). Chapter buttons jump to in-page beats; there are no invented YouTube seek times.

Showcase demo is still hosted

The 2025 demo launched 15 May (Demo v2.1.0.1 on the itch development log) and remains hosted as itch Version 106 / Game Jolt 3.1.0 dated 31 May 2025, about 1 GB. Official demo features named on that listing are a new island, puzzles, Legendary Pokémon, a new OST and original animations. The story is a non-canon island between Hoenn and Sinnoh involving mercenaries and Team Magma. It is no longer supported. ScreenRant’s later teaser cited about 80 minutes and roughly 52 Pokémon; those figures are editorial, not itch box copy. The 2025 showcase demo page is the listing that received the 15 August warning. Do not start a save there if you want the remake path.

Keep the demo on a separate disk folder if you still want the island puzzles. It will not receive Early Access patches, rematches or the Littleroot-to-Mauville path. The trailer still on this page is the 2025 showcase key art, not the 1.1.9 lab interior. Date stamps on that host remain May 2025.

itch Early Access page

The official product title is Gamma Emerald - EA at the itch.io Early Access page. Version 1.1.9 ships as a 1.4 GB Windows zip dated 15 August 2026 @ 22:54 UTC. That is the page the developer pointed players to when the old demo listing stayed live. The store description calls the project a standalone Unreal Engine 5 rebuild, not an emulator patch. Credits on that page name UndreamedPanic for programming, art, music, design, 3D and UI. Helpers named there are sewally3 for some trainer sprites and MrShyGuyBuddy for rustboro models. Tools listed are Unreal Engine 5, Visual Studio, Blender and Aseprite.

Open that page when you want the original feature list: follower, day/night, 8-hour berries, automatic HMs, hidden items, hand-drawn map, gen 6 split, singles only, Change Move TMs, portable PC, daycare, Game Corner, P2P trading and the three rematch badges. This wiki reprints those facts; it does not replace the store.

GammaEmeraldEA 0.3.0

The matching official host is Game Jolt GammaEmeraldEA. Package 0.3.0 published 15 August 2026 at 23:00 UTC as windows.rar (1,465,508,722 bytes). Dual labels — itch 1.1.9 and Game Jolt 0.3.0 — describe the same 15 August Windows Early Access, not two games. The official Early Access OUT NOW upload names both hosts in the same sentence. There is no Steam store app, no Google Play listing and no Apple App Store listing from UndreamedPanic; store searches on 17 August 2026 returned none. Treat any APK or “full game” mirror as unofficial.

If both hosts update later, compare the dated zip row and the Game Jolt version_number instead of the folder name you typed. This site will not invent a third official URL. The countdown still dated 14 August 2026 sits next to the launch still so you can see the one-day gap between COMING and OUT NOW. Bookmark those two host URLs; a third download site is not official.

Pokemon: Gamma Emerald Discord

The EA page lists invite Pokemon: Gamma Emerald Discord. The public invite name is Pokemon: Gamma Emerald; the 17 August 2026 capture recorded 24,292 members. Official copy directs crash reports there with Saved/Logs files, not to this wiki. It is a first-party room, not a second download host. X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook identities around UndreamedPanic exist; Instagram and Facebook HTML did not expose Gamma Emerald post bodies in that capture. Localization is listed as upcoming work; no official Japanese, Korean or Chinese storefront title was published.

Bug reports belong in that room with Saved/Logs attachments. This wiki will not triage crashes. Official social surfaces also include YouTube channel UC5u0K5MNm_P5jmK3ByM0lpw, X @UndreamedPanic and TikTok @undreamedpanic. Those are identity links, not extra download mirrors.

YouTube shorts on that channel also carry Trainer Cards and Shedinja, which this wiki files under trainer tools and field systems. X bio and itch author links match the same UndreamedPanic identity. Do not treat a Facebook music page or an empty Instagram grid as a second store.

Windows 10/11 64-bit only

The only official OS target is Windows 10/11 64-bit. Recommended 16 GB RAM (8 GB minimum), GTX 1060 / RX 580 or better, 5 GB storage. First launch can spend several minutes compiling shaders. Official copy and the July 2026 Q&A both say no mobile builds are planned because memory already exceeds Android and iOS devices. Mixing controller, keyboard and mouse in one session can clog the UI; pick one peripheral. The developer tells every player to save often. Slow async town and route loads on low-end PCs and battle hitching on low RAM or storage are stated known issues, not community rumors.

5 GB storage is the official disk line; the itch zip alone is 1.4 GB. Leave room for shader caches after the first compile. Community Steam Deck threads exist and are not a first-party support path. Official copy never lists macOS, Linux or Android as shipped targets for 1.1.9.

Littleroot to Mauville

Early Access is the finished first third of Hoenn: Littleroot through Rustboro and Slateport City to Mauville City. Three gyms. Stone Badge, Knuckle Badge and Dynamo badge. Trainer rematches unlock on the second floor of each town Pokémon Center after those badges. The developer says the story, characters and events match Pokémon Emerald, with added presentation and systems. Roads past Mauville are blocked; the next published chunk has no date. Official stills name those four settlements and show a hand-drawn HOENN MAP with Slateport City selected. Gym-leader names are not first-party box copy on the store pages.

Rematches sit on Center 2F after those three badges in every town, which is why the Center still is on this home page. The lab still is the Littleroot start, not a generic hero. Combined with the blocked roads past Mauville, the slice is a dated dossier: start, three gyms, stop. No post-Mauville date is printed.

Credits, helpers and fan-project line

UndreamedPanic is credited as programmer, artist, musician, designer, 3D modeler and UI designer. Official thanks go to sewally3 for some trainer sprites and MrShyGuyBuddy for rustboro models — first-party evidence that Rustboro exists in the rebuilt path. The project is free, accepts no money and is unaffiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc. or The Pokémon Company. Stated next work is the Hoenn chunk past Mauville, more Pokémon / national dex, and localization. Mega Evolution is not planned: the July 2026 Q&A says it was not in Emerald and would contradict the story. No first-party mystery-gift or redeem-code surface exists.

The non-commercial line is on the EA page itself: free fan remake, unaffiliated with Nintendo / Game Freak / Creatures Inc. / The Pokémon Company. Helpers are named, not hired as a studio roster. If you need the exact thanks paragraph, read it on itch; this section only carries the names that matter for first-party place evidence.

Other Gamma Emerald sites

Four resolving fan sites were surveyed: gammaemerald.wiki, gammaemeraldfangame.com, gammaemerald.com and gammaemerald.net. The largest wiki publishes Pokédex, Android/iOS and codes pages this project will not copy, because official pages publish no roster, no mobile build and no redeem-code surface. This site stays on first-party hosts, the demo/EA split, the named Littleroot–Mauville stretch, shipped systems and stated limits. Competitor prose and assets are not reused. Use the itch.io Early Access page or Game Jolt GammaEmeraldEA when you want the files themselves.

gammaemerald.wiki still publishes Android, iOS, Pokédex and mystery-gift URLs. Those families fail first-party checks: no mobile builds, no official roster, no redeem surface. This site’s route set is the 13 sealed paths only. Use competitor pages for their own claims; do not treat them as UndreamedPanic copy.

This dossier’s job is the dated split: 2025 showcase versus 1.1.9 / 0.3.0. If another wiki starts you on a Pokédex or an APK, close it and come back to Get playing. Official files stay on itch and Game Jolt only.
