Gamma Emerald (Early Access) is the current official remake slice, not the 2025 island demo. Official copy on the itch.io Early Access page and Game Jolt GammaEmeraldEA says the finished path runs from Littleroot to Mauville City, about 3–6 hours, with three gyms. Roads beyond Mauville are blocked. The same story, characters and events as Pokémon Emerald are claimed, with added presentation and systems. This page names only first-party places: Littleroot, Rustboro, Slateport City and Mauville City. Badges named in official rematch text are Stone, Knuckle and Dynamo. There is no official town-by-town checklist beyond those four names. The 15 August 2026 launch film and the 1 August date-lock short are the first-party calendar. Read this page when you need the slice, then use Get playing for the zip. Open Hoenn path when you want the four stills. Open Systems when you want the fifteen rows. This page stays on scope, hosts and the undated next chunk.

What “Early Access” means here
On the itch.io Early Access page, Early Access is the finished first third of Hoenn, not a paid beta of the whole region and not the 2025 showcase island. The download row is Version 1.1.9, 15 August 2026 @ 22:54 UTC, 1.4 GB Windows zip. Official text says the slice has three gyms and blocks the roads beyond Mauville. The 1 August announcement locked that calendar date on 1 August 2026. The Early Access OUT NOW upload the same day as the zip is the launch film for this slice. If a page still shows itch Version 106 or Game Jolt 3.1.0, you are on the showcase demo.
Official EA copy also lists field and battle systems that live inside this slice: follower, day/night, 8-hour berries, automatic HMs, hidden items, hand-drawn map, gen 6 split, singles only and Change Move TMs. Those systems do not unlock roads past Mauville. Version 1.1.9 is the dated file that contains them.
Named stretch and three badges
First-party names on the playable path are Littleroot, Rustboro, Slateport City and Mauville City. The official HOENN MAP still labels Slateport City under the cursor. Credits thank MrShyGuyBuddy for rustboro models, which is store-page evidence that Rustboro exists in the rebuild. Rematches unlock only after the Stone Badge, Knuckle Badge and Dynamo badge, from the second floor of each town Pokémon Center. Official copy does not publish gym-leader names as box facts. Do not invent a route table or a badge-order spreadsheet beyond those three gates.
Pokémon Center 2F is the rematch desk in every town after those badges. The official Center still shows two floors. The HOENN MAP still on this page is uncropped. Slateport City is the selected label. Do not treat the map icons as a complete gym-leader list. Three gyms and three badge names are the progress contract.
Official copy also says the story, characters and events match Pokémon Emerald with added presentation. That claim does not add extra named towns. Rustboro exists because the credit says rustboro models. Slateport exists because the map labels it. Littleroot and Mauville exist because the store names the start and the roadblock.
Same slice on Game Jolt
Game Jolt GammaEmeraldEA labels the matching package 0.3.0, published 15 August 2026 at 23:00 UTC as windows.rar. The overview payload repeats the Littleroot-to-Mauville scope. Dual version numbers are host labels for one Windows Early Access. The launch description names itch and Game Jolt together. There is no third official host in that text. Steam, Play and App Store searches on 17 August 2026 did not return an UndreamedPanic listing.
Game Jolt’s overview payload repeats the finished-third wording. If the itch zip and the rar disagree on a later day, trust the dated host rows, not a third-party “latest version” blog. This page will not invent a 1.2.0 number. 0.3.0 and 1.1.9 are the 15 August pair.
The launch film thumbnail reprints itch and Game Jolt badges on the same frame so you can see both hosts without opening a third tab. 0.3.0 is a Game Jolt package number, not a different story. If a blog calls it 1.1.9 on Game Jolt, they collapsed the two host labels.
How long the slice runs
Official copy estimates 3–6 hours for the finished third. That is a store-page range, not a speedrun table. Field systems that ship in the slice include a lead/Ace follower, a day/night cycle that can change encounters, berries that take 8 real hours, automatic HMs, hidden items and a hand-drawn map. Battles are singles only with a gen 6 Physical/Special split. Portable PC, daycare, a Game Corner with stock gaps, peer-to-peer trading and trainer cards also ship. None of those systems extend the map past Mauville.
3–6 hours is the official duration band for Littleroot to Mauville. Portable PC, daycare, Game Corner stock gaps, P2P trading and trainer cards all ship inside that band. They do not add a fourth gym. Windows 10/11 64-bit remains the only official OS for running this slice.
Shader compile on first launch still applies inside this slice. Save often still applies. Mixed peripherals still clog the UI. Those limits do not change because you are “only” playing to Mauville. The slice is short; the Windows lock is not.
After Mauville has no date
Stated next work is the Hoenn chunk past Mauville, more Pokémon / national dex, and localization. No official countdown date is attached to that chunk. Mega Evolution is not planned because it was not in Emerald and would contradict the story. No mystery-gift codes are published. Later-chunk save migration has no first-party answer; keep a backup if you care about this 1.1.9 file. The THIS IS NOT THE EARLY ACCESS post is about the 2025 demo page, not about the post-Mauville map.
Localization is listed with that upcoming work. No official Japanese, Korean or Chinese product title appears on first-party pages. Mega Evolution stays out of the plan. Mystery-gift codes stay unpublished. The correct download for today is still 1.1.9 / 0.3.0, not a fan-named “full game”.
When a later chunk appears it will need a first-party date before this page prints one. Until then the spine ends on an undated node. Keep a 1.1.9 backup if you care about this save. Do not start on Version 106 hoping it will migrate.
