Gamma Emerald controls are the official eight-action keyboard and controller map from the itch.io Early Access page Early Access page. Movement is WASD or the left stick / D-pad. Fish is F or X. Interact / Confirm is Space / Enter or A. Cancel / Back is Tab / Escape or B. Menu is Escape / Tab or Start. Run is Left Shift or B held. Menu next/previous is Q / E or the shoulders. Register / Bike is R or Select. Do not mix peripherals in one session; the developer warns that switching controller, keyboard and mouse can clog the UI. The table below is the complete official set of eight actions. There is no ninth row on the store page and no published rebind menu.

One peripheral per session

The itch.io Early Access page known-issues block says mixing controller, keyboard and mouse in one session can clog the UI. That is an official limit, not a community guess. Pick the keyboard map or a single controller before you leave the lab. DualSense pads are not promised as a native first-party path; player comments report detection misses, which stay on the known-limits page as player reports. If the UI stops accepting confirms, stop swapping devices and reload a save. The eight rows above are the full official table. There is no published rebind screen on the store page.

Save often if the UI starts ignoring confirms after you plugged in a second device. Reload the session on one peripheral. Player-reported DualSense misses live on Known limits and are not part of this official table. Keyboard bindings remain WASD, F, Space/Enter, Tab/Escape, Shift, Q/E and R. Controller bindings remain stick/D-pad, X, A, B, Start, B held, shoulders and Select.

Field actions that share Confirm

Interact / Confirm (Space / Enter / A) also fires automatic HMs once the HM is obtained. The official rock still shows the line “Your POKÉMON came to break the rock for you!” — the party performs the field action without teaching the move. Fish is a separate binding (F / X). Run is Left Shift or B held, not a toggle listed on the store page. Register / Bike is R or Select. Menu cycling with Q / E or shoulders is how you move between party and bag panes. Keep the table nearby on a first session; the game does not reprint it on a legal splash.

Automatic HMs share Interact / Confirm, so the same A / Space press that talks to an NPC also fires an obtained HM on a matching object. Fish stays on F / X so you do not bait with Confirm. Run is hold, not tap. Bike is Register on R / Select. Keep one device so those eight rows stay mapped. The HM rock still is the field proof, not a second control scheme.
